MOST RECENT MOVIE: WALL-E Pixar's latest is another masterpiece, with a sweet romance wrapped in an extremely bleak satire. A lone robot cleans up the garbage of an abandoned Earth, unaware that everyone has forgotten about him and he can just stop. He meets and falls in love with a sleek modern robot, and they share an adventure and romance that is touching, clever and funny.
READ THIS REVIEW: Fame This popular musical from 1980 turns out to be absolutely dreadful upon review. Weaving the lives of certain teens as they advance through New York's High School for the Performing Arts, it is chock-full of 70s hot-button issues, whiny theater-person melodrama, and too many stories for it to satisfyingly handle. It's also populated by bad actors asked to deliver long, dramatic dialogue, between the occasional spontaneous outburst of song and dance.

II Times the Superman II Richard Donner, director of the first film, was halfway through making the sequel when he was fired. Richard Lester made his own version, inserting a great deal of campy humor that set the stage for the ultimate degradation of the entire series.
